Mount Hood Family History Conference 2013 is a Success!
We want to thank all those who helped make the first bi-annual Mount Hood Family History Conference a fantastic event. Presenters at the two-day conference discussed a broad range of topics. Beginners learned how to start their own family history, and more experienced genealogists came away with tips to hone their researching skills.
Keynote Speaker Stephen P. Morse introduced his One-Step website and explained how to use it to help simplify the search for family records. He also presented classes on DNA Genealogy work and 1940 census records. For a complete list of the 55 classes taught by family history experts from throughout the Pacific Northwest, click on the Classes Tab.
Our computer lab staffed with trained family history consultants was also a great success. Many participants really appreciated the one-on-one help to search various websites to find records of their ancestors.
Handouts for all the classes presented during the two-day Conference are available on our blog to print out. Follow us on Facebook for family history news, tips and updates. And join us on this journey of discovery.
